At the Mermaids Catch, we are dedicated to providing our customers with the best food and great customer service.
Under new management as "The Mermaids Catch" the Fish and Chip Shop at Sea Palling has run as a fish and chip shop since the early 1900s serving up the usual chip shop fare.
With a full refurbishment in 2024, we have established our roots back into the community, by returning the shop back to the family and being able to provide a full takeaway service. The Mermaids Catch will be open seven days a week through the holiday periods and every weekend.
Why not enjoy your fish and chips next door from Monday to Friday evenings throughout the holiday periods, accompanied by local craft beer, glass of vino or why not try one of the Bistros famous milkshakes, hardshakes or cocktails?

The food was that good we came here two days in a row! Lovely fish and chips, generous portions and beautifully cooked and presented. The curry sauce is a must! Great little hive of activity and lovely welcoming staff! Well worth the visit!

Amazing looking newly refurbished fish and Chippy. Nick and his team are amazing and nothing was too much trouble. A coastal fish and chip shop. Be patient, it’s so good it’s worth the wait. It is so good, everyone wants to go there! Such quality! Keep up the great work! You have amazing success on your hands! Make sure you leave room for an Ice Cream from Gayle and her team next door at the Beach Rock! Yummy!!

On a recent visit to Sea Palling my wife and I decided to sample the fish and chips from the Mermaids Catch, a recently opened establishment, extremely clean and bright with a friendly and welcoming staff. A good selection of seafood was available and our choice of haddock and chips was superb and cooked to perfection. No soggy chips in this establishment!

Buzzing that our local chippy is open again and looking fabulous. I have no doubt that it will be a roaring success with an exciting new menu brand new look and variety for everyone. We had great service the food was super tasty & worth every penny.. what else could you honestly ask for

WOW fantastic fish and chips and have to say probably one of the best I have ever tasted!!! Good prices, superb portion size and the staff could not have been any friendlier. If you are visiting Sea Palling please visit the Mermaids Catch, you will not be disappointed.
